Ideas from an Oregon Nature Photographer

John Scott Nature Photographer

Capturing nature’s beauty can be very rewarding. Spend time away from the lens a few minutes to let the light, sounds and smells of nature. Be in the moment and enjoy what it has to offer. Full-frame photography art is a passion to hold on to serenity and promote nature.

Nature heals they say with sunshine, sounds of wind and water, and colors to improve mood. When individuals pend quality time listening and relaxing in nature a sense of calm envelops their spirit. Often I am reminded of my ancestors who came to Start America. Individuals like Captain John Smith, John Livingston, Rev. William Bourne, Deacon John Dunham, Elisha Wright, James Bonifield, William Holt, James Daly, Isaac Stone, Thomas Whitworth, James Hall, John Anderson, Rev. Hanky’s Hanks, Jean Baptiste dit Boisdore (Barbeau), Bartholomew Barthelemi Dejean, Louisa Scott, Captain William Tucker, John Buchanan, Thomas Pierce, Rev. Drury Senter, John Holt, John Mallory, Robert Neal, George Leonard and others.

Many of these early settlers worked on developing lands to create America. Involved with many of the early formation of the United States government to include Dept. of Transportation, Supreme Court, Dept. of Treasury, and the Dept. or Interior. Formation of government in laws such as the U.S. Constitution, formation of infratructure, Supreme Court and more. they fought in wars to preserve American freedom and religious persecution. Tilling land, forming friendships with native Amercian tribes

As this country grows to be more inclusive remembering where we are from and how our forefathers and mothers created freedoms for us to enjoy. Lands should be preserved with respect for all to enjoy. My goals are to create artistic photography art to showcase these lands in their natural beauty. Finding settings to showcase these natural habitats during golden hours, use of texture and colors to improve balance and artistic expression in peaceful serenity.
